Jason Weckstein PhD

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Jason received his doctorate from Louisiana State University. His research primarily focuses on the biodiversity of birds and their parasites, using them as a model system to examine the factors that promote the processes of diversification and speciation. He does active research in the field and in museum collections. The large amount of host-associate biodiversity data he produces will be made available on The Encyclopedia of Life. As a BioSynC postdoctoral research scientist, in addition to continuing his research program, he will help organize specific BioSynC activities around his interests in host-associate systems.
